Bruhn is compiled of four members, all from Portland, OR, Chris Bruhn (Rhythm Guitarist and Vocals), Mike Alston (Lead Guitarist), TJ Kendrick (Bass), and Jeff Burke (Drums). Chris Bruhn is founder and writer of all musical material in Bruhn. Recording was completed in Portland, OR by Sound Ghost Studios and was mastered by Chris Keefer of Magnetic North Studio. Bruhn has been a band with these members for about one year and has been playing shows in the North West. The strongest three tracks are Hollywood, She Knows, and Liars Fire. Hollywood starts off strong and ends strong as well. She Knows continues along the up tempo speed but with fast flowing vocals as well. Liars Fire is the slowest of the 3 but takes you down a different musical path. The album listened from beginning to end will have many different facets of musical style and is not locked into to having one type of musical genre.

CR: I wanna thank you for taking time out of your schedule to talk with me and to RogueMag. How Are You?

Bruhn:  We’re doing great.  We have some sunny weather in Portland Or. For once.

CR:...iiight lets do this!!! Aside from music and what is written in your bio, tell us something about you that your fans don’t know.

Bruhn:  We once played Portland’s famous Satyricon before it closed.  It was cool to play at the same place that bands that we’ve looked up to played.  It is sad that they closed it down.

CR: Who are the musical legends that influenced you growing up, and/or affected your musical career and who are the unsigned artists you respect and love

Bruhn:  All of us are about the same age and it seems like all of us grew up learn Nirvana and Sonic Youth songs on the guitar.  Now that we are older and more experienced we just flat out rip them off. There are a few unsigned bands from Portland that really like Burnside, Upside down Cat, Imaginary Airship, No Kind Of Rider.

CR: I’m gonna say a few words...tell me the first thing that comes to mind...lets start with your name Bruhn...

CR: Least favourite word

Bruhn: Work

CR: Favourite word to cuss with

Bruhn: My middle finger

CR: If I stole your iPod or MP3 player...aside from all of RogueMag’s podcast what else would i find.

Bruhn:  All of us have pretty different tastes in music, but I’m sure on each of our  I-pods there are some Flaming Lips, Guided by Voices, Smashing Pumkins, and Neil Youg.

CR: As an artist, the musical journey is a long (trust me I know) and can not be done by oneself. Who are some of the people in your life who have supported you and continue to support you through you musical career.

Bruhn:  Our friends and families have always been our biggest supporters.  As long as they keep coming to the shows, we’ll still be playingand making new music.

CR: Who are some of the indy musicians you would love to have the opportunity to collaborate and work with.

Bruhn:  I have always wanted to work with Robert Pollard.  He writes so many songs.  He is in like forty different bands I would love to be in one of them someday.

CR: For all of our readers who will hear some of your songs, read the interview and become instant fans; tell them where they can learn more about you, your music, any upcoming projects, events or albums. Tell everyone your website addresses?

Bruhn:  You can go to our web site or our myspace or like us on facebook.

CR: Cool, on behalf of the RogueMag, I wanna personally thank you for taking the time out to chit-chat with me. Keep on pushing and we will work together again!!!

Bruhn:  Thank you
